Smt Indumati Vasantlal Shah Charitable Trust Uplifting Lives Through Education and Service Since 2005

Mumbai/Chotila: In a time where quiet dedication often goes unnoticed, the SMT INDUMATI VASANTLAL SHAH CHARITABLE TRUST stands as a glowing example of sincere and consistent social service. Established in 2005, the Trust was founded by Mr. Umesh V. Shah and his wife Mrs. Sandhya U. Shah, who continue to serve as the only two trustees.

Since its inception, the Trust has remained committed to supporting education and promoting compassion-driven service in rural and underprivileged regions of Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Strengthening Education in Rural India

The core initiative of the Trust is to provide free educational kits, T-shirts, and caps to students in Zilla Parishad (government-run) schools. As of today, the Trust supports 25 such schools across the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. These kits offer essential study materials and uniforms, aiming to encourage children from disadvantaged backgrounds to continue their education with pride and enthusiasm.

Special Event Held Today at Vasai Ashram Shala, Vasai (Dist. Thane)

Continuing its noble mission, the Trust conducted a special distribution program today, June 29, 2025, at Ashram Shala, located in Vasai, District Thane. The event covered 520 students, each of whom received a complete educational kit, T-shirt, and cap. The smiles on the children’s faces and the warmth in their hearts made the occasion truly memorable.

Caring for Cows at the Chotila Gaushala

Apart from education, the Trust is also deeply involved in animal welfare, particularly through its Gaushala (cow shelter) in Chotila, Gujarat. The shelter is home to numerous cows and operates as a space of reverence, care, and compassion. It reflects the trustees’ belief in protecting life and preserving Indian values.

Funded by Personal Income and Public Generosity

The Trust’s operations are fueled by personal income of the trustees along with voluntary donations from well-wishers. With no corporate backing or large campaigns, this is a mission driven purely by heart and purpose.
